Education and Experience
I completed a Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration in cognitive behavioral interventions. Throughout my social work education, I have worked with many diverse clients in an interpersonal capacity, working both as an interning psychotherapist in private practice, and as an interning counselor at a short-term inpatient substance use detoxification facility. I also am a father, who understands the challenges associated with having or planning for children, as well as challenges faced by children themselves.
Therapeutic Style and Specialty Areas
I am a keen listener, complimented by empathetic and acceptance principles. I focus on collaboration, with intention to enhance a person’s overall well-being within a safe and non-judgmental arena that embraces one’s unique experiences. As a educationally supported cognitive behavioral therapist, I am well positioned to work with those who experience depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I also specialize in kids, teens, parenting, fathers, couples. I welcome any and all who may feel that I can help.
